The Fort Armstrong Rodeo Committee is in full-swing planning the 2005 Rodeo.
The dates for the rodeo are Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9.
A trail ride
package will be offered again this year. Forms for the trail ride are
available below or in the newsletter. Karen Clark will be
handling the ride reservations and Caren Hanz will be leading the ride.
Once again, we will be calling on our team of "Parking Volunteers".
Last year the group did an outstanding job of meeting, greeting and moving all
those visitors in and out of CCHP. We couldn't do it without you.
So, dig out that fabulous neon FAHA Rodeo T-shirt and get ready for the fun.
Wes Jackson will once again be the chairman of the parking crew.
Please let Wes or Karen Thayer know if you are willing to volunteer. If
you would like to volunteer this year - and need a T-shirt - please contact
Karen Thayer (724-545-9287).
We always need help putting up the rodeo road signs. Signs will be
available at the June membership meeting or by contacting Karen Thayer. If
you can help by putting up a few on your way to work or in your neighborhood it
is appreciated! It is our most visible advertising method. We will
also have full color posters available to put up in businesses, restaurants and
offices. If you can place a few in your neighborhood - please pick them up
at the meeting. Please take a few with you to horse shows, auctions, and
trail rides that you may be attending at other parks.
Ken Collins and the Construction committee will be putting up the snow fence and
gates the week prior to the rodeo. If you can spare a few hours to work - please
see Ken.
A reminder - We will consider the barns and camping closed as of Wednesday
morning - July 6. The rodeo livestock begins arriving on Wednesday
and for safety we will not be open for camping and the ring will be closed.
Any campers arriving after July 5 will be charged at rodeo rates as listed in
the trail ride/camping form. Camping will be in designated areas only.
Reminder: Camping is available at the Covered Bridge Trail Head at no charge.
