What a difference one day and many hands make!  Sunday April 18 was our Spring Work Day and boy did we ever work. With the help of some dedicated members, we were able to put the fourth rail and a new gate on the new practice ring.  We need to seal the wood yet, but it looks great.  The manure pits had new sides built. The restrooms were insulated and backfilled.  The horse wash bay drains were cleaned and now work great.  The pavilion roofs were either swept or pressure washed. Tree branches around the pavilions were trimmed.  A new bridge for the obstacle course was built, as the other one did not make it through the winter. Hand sanitizers were installed in the clevis mulch toilets in the woods.  The shower house was scrubbed down and sanitized.  Landscaping was done all over the park.  It is BEAUTIFUL.  The entrance to the park now has a sign to indicate the upcoming event and a new flower bed was built around the tree in the open parking area all done by the Rodeo Queen Contestants. Rafters were replaced on barn three which were damaged by the snow.  The snow fence around the bleachers was removed, debris and trash picked up from under the bleachers. The lights in all barns were checked and replaced if necessary.  We still have things that need done, but thanks to those members who worked so hard, the park looks great and is ready for a new year. “Special Thanks” to all of the members who worked so very hard to make CCHP look so good.  I would list you individually, but I’m afraid I might miss someone and I don’t want to do that. I can’t thank you all enough for the hard work and great job. You are amazing!!!!!

Thanks, Sandy

Trail maps are available for your purchase in our Information Booth. This booth is located to the right of the Stop sign after entering the driveway to the park.   If this is your first time trail riding in the park, you should have a map along with a copy of the trail descriptions. You can print out the trail descriptions from this website—there is a link on this page to our "Trail Descriptions" section. Trail descriptions are also usually available in our Information Booth. Camping information is also located in our Information Booth. If you plan to camp, there are certain weekends where a larger show may be scheduled and you would need to contact the show manager for campsite and horse stall availability. The show manager's number can be found under the "Event Calendar" section of this website. Please also note there are no horse rentals or guided rides available at the park.
If you still have questions about our Trails, you can contact our Trail Boss, Wes Jackson, at 412-795-6178 or email jackson.bl@verizon.net

Crooked Creek Summer Show

This is the 16th year for the “Open Show”.  On August 6, 7 & 8, we will have 162 equitation, pleasure & performance classes for various breeds.  There is also a physically challenged class for those special riders.  For members that enjoy showing their horses, we are offering one free performance class ($10 value) if sent in prior to July 30th.  All you have to do is send a copy of your current membership card with your entries. A copy of show class list and entry form is available below.

If you are not showing a horse and have some free time to volunteer, we are in need of gate keepers for the Sunday sessions.  There are 2 sessions on Sunday; we need 2 gate keepers per session.  If interested, call Chip at 724-864-1689.

And as always, we are in need of financial support.  Anyone can sponsor a class.  A class can be sponsored in memory of someone or just because you like to see you name in print!  If you know of any businesses that would support us, please ask them.  A copy of our sponsor form & show class list is available below.  We greatly appreciate your support.

Nothing going on that weekend? Come out & enjoy a really great show!
