~ 2004 RODEO INFO ~

"Well, it's bulls and blood
It's dust and mud
It's the roar of a Sunday crowd
It's the white in his knuckles
The gold in the buckle
He'll win the next go 'round
It's boots and chaps
It's cowboy hats
It's spurs and latigo
It's the ropes and the reins
And the joy and the pain
And they call the thing rodeo"

~ Rodeo ~ Garth Brooks ~

Yes folks, it's getting to be that time of year again... preparations are underway for the annual rodeo presented by The Rawhide Rodeo Company. The Rodeo weekend at the Park is one event you won't want to miss! There is plenty of entertainment and excitement when the cowboys and cowgirls come to Ford City. Check out the entertainer, Willard Powell. And be sure to sign up for the trail ride.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 4 to 12, and kids under 4 are free.

*Please be aware that from MONDAY, JULY 5th through SUNDAY JULY 11th, the park will be unavailable for general camping and stall rental. Camping reservations must be made through the rodeo camping & trail ride office. NO campers/trailers or horses will be permitted to remain at the park overnight without prior reservation during rodeo week. Fees will be established by the Rodeo Committee and all fees will be enforced for both FAHA members and non members - NO EXCEPTIONS! (There will be an added $10 fee for the use of air conditioners). We love to have guests spend their vacation visiting our annual rodeo - we only ask that for your safety and convenience you comply with all reservation requirements. Remember that during this week we will be using heavy equipment to set up rodeo pens, preparations of the barns, food vendor set-up, etc. There will be quite a bit of traffic during delivery of rodeo livestock.

To minimize traffic jams in and around the park, there will be 2 tour busses operating from Lenape Vo-Tech school to the park through out the evening, starting at 4:30pm. The shuttle bus is free as well as parking at the school.

Please contact Karen Clark @ 724-354-2148 for information on camping during the rodeo week.
